Do you know someone thinking about applying for United States citizenship? The road to citizenship is often overrun with misinformation. Naturalization is easier than many green card holders think and financial help may be available.

To supply people with good information about the naturalization process, Orange County Communities Organized for Responsible Development (OCCORD) teamed up with the ACLU of Southern California to produce a series of videos with support from a New Americans Campaign innovation grant.

In these two videos, Ahilan Arulanantham, Legal Director for the ACLU of Southern California and Jennie Pasquarella, ACLU’s Director of Immigrants’ Rights explain the naturalization process and describe how organizations like OCCORD provide valuable help to eligible lawful permanent residents. OCCORD encourages viewers to share the videos widely, and is happy to provide their uncut footage to organizations that would like to edit their own version.
