San Francisco, CA – The New Americans Campaign (NAC) is grateful to have received a grant award beginning July 1, 2026 from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. This 18-month grant will help support the network’s efforts to promote fair naturalization policies and connect permanent residents to its network of trusted legal advisors and naturalization experts who are transforming the way aspiring citizens become new Americans.

“We are grateful to the Carnegie Corporation of New York for their continued support to strengthen naturalization during this critical time,” said Lucia Martel-Dow, Executive Director of the New Americans Campaign. “With more than 9 million legal permanent residents eligible to apply for citizenship right now, this investment will ensure that more people across the country are able to access legal support to become U.S. citizens.”

Established in 2011 and led by the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the New Americans Campaign (NAC) is the nation’s leading collaborative dedicated to increasing the number of eligible immigrants who become naturalized citizens.  Since its creation, the New Americans Campaign and its partners – at more than 200 organizations across 20+ cities nationwide – have supported nearly 700,000 lawful permanent residents on their path to citizenship and helped save more than $700 million in application fees.
