In Houston this weekend, several dozen aspiring Americans took some time out of their Saturdays to get free one-on-one help on their citizenship applications.
At an event hosted by Neighborhood Centers Inc., the Office of International Communities with the City of Houston and the National Association of Latino Elected & Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund, volunteer attorneys sat down with aspiring Americans to talk about immigration reform this year – and to hold individual citizenship assistance meetings.
The event helped local legal permanent residents gain knowledge about important immigration issues and gave them a huge head start on their citizenship applications for 2014. It’s clear, our Houston partners are off to a great start this year.
If you missed it, there’s another citizenship workshop coming up in Houston real soon.
