On Thursday, the New Americans Campaign and local partner organizations in Houston hosted a media roundtable to raise awareness for citizenship. A group of 18 representatives from leading ethnic media attended the briefing.

During the briefing, naturalization advocates highlighted the importance of citizenship for green-card holders, and led a discussion with reporters and representatives on how media can help eligible residents to become citizens.

To give a little inspiration, a recently naturalized immigrant from Vietnam, Ms. Bui, shared her unique story on what citizenship means to her, and how BPSOS and the New Americans Campaign helped her become citizen at age 78.
